Who is StephenPMurphy.com?

I don't know who these people are - but they seem to be having a nice moment with each other and I don't have the heart to ask them to finish up their little chat and move along. I don't want to come across as rude to these complete strangers that are hanging out on my website. And besides, nothing that would be said here is classified so what would be the point? I have a philosophy of inclusiveness. Making sure everyone feels comfortable in their surroundings is something I am osessively focused on. Whatever influence I can have upon the ease of mind of others around me (such as these folks up top that may seem to some as invading my space) is my priority. So I am going to try to just ignore those people up there and go on with my business.

Actually I could have called this section "About Me" but I think that's too self-centered. At this time, StephenPMurphy.com is comprised of one person, who just so happens to be aptly named "Stephen P Murphy". It never ceases to amaze me that my parents had such foresight to give me the name that would years later become the name of my consuiting business.

So, I'm a freelance computer programmer. My specialty is Web based Business applications. I have been employed in programming and database design since the early 1980's and have evolved over the years as the technology has evolved. I can develop and host database applications here on my website, or work within the structure of the customers network.

So maybe some day I'll be able to actually employ some of those people who seem perfectly delighted to be hanging around up there at the top of my About Us page, hopefully before they're of retirement age, but in the meantime; Please click here to view my Resume
